Jet Skiing

Jet ski hire is available directly on Alykanas Beach from Alykanas Water Sports. No licence is required for a leisure jet ski in Greece; an operator will accompany first-time riders. Sessions typically run 15 or 30 minutes. Book early in the morning to avoid long queues during peak season.

Parasailing

For a bird's-eye view of Alykanas and the turquoise Ionian, parasailing is an unforgettable experience. Solo and tandem flights are available. The views across to the Greek mainland are spectacular on a clear day.

Scuba Diving

Zakynthos is one of the finest diving destinations in the Mediterranean. The area is home to the famous Caretta caretta (loggerhead sea turtles), and encounters underwater are common around Marathonisi Island and Laganas Bay. PADI courses for complete beginners take one day and are offered by the Ioanna Diving Centre on Alykanas Beach.

Boat Trips & Snorkelling

Day boat trips from Alykanas Marina are a wonderful way to see Zakynthos from the sea. Most tours include stops for swimming and snorkelling at the Blue Caves and Shipwreck Beach. Equipment is provided and no experience is necessary.

Kayaking & Paddleboarding

Stand-up paddleboards and sea kayaks can be hired by the hour from the beach. Kayaking around the northern coastline reveals hidden sea caves not accessible by larger boats.
